1. Who we are
CricAxis ("we", "us", "our") provides a cricket scoring and tournament management mobile app and admin panel. This policy explains what information we collect from users of the CricAxis app and website, and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what's needed to run the app's features:
- Account information — name, email address and/or mobile number, and a password (stored encrypted, we never see it in plain text).
- Profile information (optional) — date of birth, gender, playing role, batting/bowling style, profile photo, cover photo, bio, jersey number, and location details (city, state, district, village, country) that you type in yourself — we do not access your device's GPS location.
- Photos — if you choose to upload a profile photo, team logo, tournament poster, or post image, we access your camera/gallery only when you tap to do so.
- Cricket activity data — matches, teams, tournaments, ball-by-ball scoring, statistics, and achievements generated as you use the app.
- Push notification token — a device identifier (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to deliver notifications like match updates and tournament announcements.
- Sign-in via Google or Apple (optional) — if you choose this, the provider shares your name and email address with us to create/identify your account. We never see your Google/Apple password.
We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not currently process payments inside the app — tournament entry fees and prize pools shown in the app are informational figures arranged directly between organizers and participants.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and player profile.
- To operate core features: live scoring, team/tournament management, rankings, and statistics.
- To send push notifications and emails relevant to your account (e.g. tournament approval, OTP verification, password reset).
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — to deliver push notifications.
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in that way.
- Other users — your public profile (name, avatar, stats, teams) is visible to other users of the app, consistent with a social cricket platform. You control what you fill in.
5. Data retention & account deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app: Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account. Deleting your account removes your email/phone from our active records and revokes all access immediately. 6. Security
Passwords are stored using one-way hashing and are never visible to us in plain text. We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
7. Children's privacy
CricAxis is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
